Hot Deal Alert at Walgreens - Washi Craft Tape Clearanced

Scotch Craft Tape - a nice big addition to my small collection
Scotch Craft Tape Clearanced to $1.29 a Roll!  I found this sitting on the shelf and I was very happy!!

My favorite, by far, is the bicycle tape.

For solid colors, I bought all that they had: orange, yellow, silver and pink.  The blue has a geometric pattern on it.

Please give us the link in the comments if you have any Craft Tape Projects to show us.

Happy Crafting!

Craft Fairs in New England
I just read about these in Yankee Magazine.  I missed them in 2011 but I want to put them somewhere on the web where I will be able to locate them in 2012!

The above was a note to myself from 2011.  Since I would still like to attend some craft shows I am trying to update this article and make some plans!

DIY Play Kitchen

I got the idea from pinterest and my H ran with it! We got the entertainment center from craigslist for free.

He removed the top and most of the back of the ent. center. he painted the whole thing white. He made a chalboard on the left side and a magnet center on the right side.

The fridge has a motion operated light that comes on for 15 seconds when opened, and so does the oven. That's a dishwasher next to the over. The sink is a dog bowl, real faucet and that is real tile and real grout. The fidge has a water dispensor in the door, just like our fridge.

Halloween Decor - Oct 2011

Tom, as a pumkin.  That was a self portrait.  I couldn't find a scary enough wreath, so instead I made one.  This is a snake and spider wreath.  I've also seem these done where everything is painted black.  I like that, too.  But the color really catches your eye as you come into our house.  Also, those are pumkin lights.  It's a little hard to see, but the little pumkin has holes drilled into it and it lights up with a tea light.

Craft Supplies on Etsy

(I must apologize for my pictures being mis-aligned.  I need to learn how to edit some code, or something).

I like to scrapbook and make cards, occasionally.  To my great surprise, one day, I noticed that I can buy craft supplies on Etsy.  This surprised me, for some reason.  Unique, handmade craft supplies?  Yes!

Some of my favorite items are these handmade stamps and ink pads.  I own a bunch of items from this shop.

These chipboard items would be great for scrapbooks or cards. I think that my favorite item below would be the buttons!

DIY Craft Board - UPDATE

Once upon a time I was a craft maniac.  We had a house but no children, just fur babies.  We had some time on our hands and I feel in love with a craft desk (more on that here).  I also feel in love with a craft wall organizer.  But, why pay retail, right?  My husband made a craft wall organizer back in 2008!  You can read about that here.  I used to craft in our upstairs guestroom.  A LOT has changed since 2008 and I now craft in the first floor bedroom that we call the office.  The office is where we stash guests (Aerobed), do crafts, change the babies and let them play!

I notice that the craft board/ craft wall organizer gets a lot of hits on this site so, I thought that it would be fun to show an update to where the craft board is now.

Our house looks CRAZY in these pics.  I hope that it isn't quite as crazy as it looks!  But, I have twins, LOL.  That excuse can definitely get you out of the my house is messy jam!

The upper right, middle and lower left squares are all fabric squares.  There is batting behind the fabric, so that I can use push pins.  The prints are zebra, cheeta and polka dot.

The middle right and middle left squares are magnetic squares.  They are wood squares painted with pink magnetic paint.

The top middle square is pegboard painted pink.

The bottom middle square is cork, leftover from my big cork board.

The top left and the bottom right squares are magnetic chalk board squares.  My husband painted them with both types of paint.

These new pictures show the frame that my husband put around the board.  I think that it really finishes it off.

Craft Room Update

We got rid of the full size bed and frame that we had in our guest room. Now I have a bona fide craft room and an Aerobed (for the occassional guests).

Cricut + Vinyl =

2 cards this weekend:

One is a just saying hello card and one is a bday card for a friend's upcoming b-day. I put red glitter to simulate fire on the candles LOL.

I LOVE the stiped paper used for the HAPPY BIRTHDAY but will probably stick to solids in the future.
